                                 RALPH HESTER
     Greenfield – Ralph Hester, 77, of E. High Street, Springfield, died at 
9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 1990, at his residence.
     He was born May 8, 1913, in Ross County, to John Hester and Caroline 
(Strickrott) Hester.  He was a retired employee of Wright-Patterson Air Force 
Base.  He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
     Surviving are two brothers, Howard of State College, Pennsylvania and 
David of South Salem.
     He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie on November 22, 1963; and 
one brother, Charles.
     Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Murray Funeral 
Home, Greenfield, with the Rev. Tom Walz officiating.
     Burial will follow in the South Salem Cemetery.
     Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.
