Rt. 6 (1270 Austin rd), died at 1 p.m. Sunday at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Born Feb. 7, 1920, in Ross County, he was the son of Frank W. Junk and Grace Dick Junk. He was a farmer, member of the Austin United Methodist Church, the men's organization of the church, Concord Grange 2700 and Ross County Farm Bureau. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Louise Thatcher, whom he married June 15, 1946; three sisters, Miss Louise Junk, Carlsbad, Calif.; Mrs. Mary Ruth Meier, Santee, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Jane Davis, Wooster; four brothers, Bennett W. Junk, Frankfort; Martin L. Junk, Cincinnati; Dr. Dick R. Junk, Washington C.H., and James F. Junk, Frankfort. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Austin United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Glen Hiles. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
