GREENFIELD - Mrs. Hannah Mazie Cokonougher, 88, of 647 McKell Ave., Greenfield, died at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Margaret Clark-Oakfield Convalescent Center, Washington Court House. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Murray Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Heininger officiating. Burial will follow in South Salem Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Cokonougher was born Dec. 10, 1883, in Ross County to John and Mary Thomas Hurless. She was married to Adiston E. Cokonougher, who died May 31, 1933. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John (Hazel) Hollar, Route 1, Lyndon, Mrs. Mark (Helen) Smith, Greenfield, Mrs. Stanley (Audria) Fordyce, Brookville, Fla., and Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) Staats, Greenfield; one son, Harold E., South Dennis, Mass.; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; six great- great-grandchildren; one brother, Orville Hurless, Lattaville; and two sisters. Mrs. Margaret Forsythe, Greenfield, and Mrs. Martha Shoemaker, Bournville. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Cokonougher was a member of the Greenfield First United Church."
