Mrs. Forest (Isabel) Post, 73, of Greenfield, died at 8:35 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at Maple View Manor in Bainbridge. She was born Sept. 8, 1928 in Ross County, the daughter of Harvey J. Cokonaugher and Dolla (Smith) Cokonaugher. She was a member of the Greenfield Colonial Garden Club for more than 40 years and was president for 23 years. She was also a member of the Rebecca Women's Circle of which she was the leader for several years; she was on the Highland County Fair Flower Committee; she was a Girl Scout leader; and a member of the Greenfield United Methodist Church. She graduated from Good Hope High School and attended the Ohio University branch in Chillicothe. She had worked at the U.S. Shoe Corp., McClain High School, Victor E. Johnson Accounting and Farmer's Wholesale, all of Greenfield. She is survived by her husband, Forest E. Post, whom she married Nov. 4, 1957 in Denver, Colo.; one son, J. Martin Post, of Greenfield; two daughters, Mrs. Cleve (Penny) Bartley, of Greenfield, and Mrs. Joseph (Linda) Sulzer Sr., of Chillicothe; six grandsons, Mike (Lee Ann) Gilbert, of Greenfield, Brian Gilbert, of Greenfield, Joseph Sulzer Jr., of Chillicothe, James Sulzer, of Chillicothe, Jacob Sulzer, of Chillicothe, and Joshua Sulzer, of Chillicothe; one brother, Herman 'Tom' Cokonaugher, of Frankfort; three sisters, Eva L. Lyle, of Birmingham, Ala., Ethel Mae Haines, of East Monroe, and Genevieve Van Allen, of Columbus; and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jay Cokonougher, and by both parents. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2001 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with the Rev. John Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to the Greenfield Firefighters Association, 151 N. Washington St., Greenfield, Ohio 45123; or to the Greenfield Area Life Squad, P.O. Box 157, Greenfield, Ohio 45123." Additional Comments: Note - Mrs. Post's parents' name, her maiden name, is correctly spelled 'Cokonougher', not 'Cokonaugher' as it is in the obituary. Her grandparents were Zachariah and Mary (Wisecup) Cokonougher, and Frank and Lucinda (Davis) Smith.
