GLENN H. SHOEMAKER. GLENN H. SHOEMAKER, 90, of 678 Robinson Road, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001 at home. He was born in Bourneville, Ross County, Aug. 6, 1911 to ARTHUR SHOEMAKER and OTTIE (GIRE) SHOEMAKER. Mr. Shoemaker had lived in Washington C.H. since 1989. He retired in 1975 as a truck driver for Westinghouse Corp. in Columbus and was an avid bowler and Cincinnati Reds fan. Mr. Shoemaker was preceded in death by a son, DONALD EUGENE SHOEMAKER; a granddaughter, MELISA PENWELL; three brothers, WELDON SHOEMAKER, DALE SHOEMAKER, and PAUL SHOEMAKER; and four sisters, HELEN HURLEY, GERTRUDE HURLEY, GERALDINE SHOEMAKER, and RUBY SHOEMAKER. He is survived by his wife, DOROTHY A. SHOEMAKER; a son, DANNY SHOEMAKER of Springfield; three daughters, BETTY (JAMES) ADAIR, NORMA J. (JIM) PENWELL, both of Cynthiana, Ky., and ELLIE (BOB) WILLIAMS of Greenfield; nine grandchildren, DONDI HESTER, TABITHA SHAW, SHELBY DEMORY, HOLLY SHOEMAKER, ANGIE ROLFE, TAMMY SHOEMAKER, JIM ADAIR, SAMUEL ADAIR, and TONYA SMALL; and 14 great-grandchildren.
