ROYSE Bessie M. Royse, 84, of Greenfield, died at 10:29 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at her residence. She was born Dec. 24, 1916 in Lyndon (Ross County), the daughter of MARTIN STEINER and MINNIE (STEINMETZ) STEINER. She was a founding member of the Bits-N-Pieces Quilt Club. She was a member of the Good Shepard Church. She was also a 1935 graduate of McClain High School and was a homemaker. She is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, PATRICIA ROYSE, of Celina, SUE and BILL HOLCOMB, of Florence, Ky., CHARLOTTE OLAH, of Mentor; two sons and one daughter-in-law, JERRY and CINDY ROYSE, of Albany, MICHAEL ROYSE, of Greenfield; six grandchildren, Russell Campbell, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Kelly Campbell, of Detroit, Mich., Lincoln and Eric Royse, of Bethlehem, Pa., Elizabeth Vienna, of Kent, David Vienna, of Pismo Beach, Calif.; one great grandchild, Ian Campbell Gonzales, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sister, Helen Cook, of Washington C.H.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband ALBERT ROYSE on April 25, 1999; brother, HAROLD STEINER, and both parents. Arrangements by Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial in Greenfield Cemetery. Additional Comments: Bessie was the granddaughtr of Henry Steinmetz and Helen (Barleon) Steinmetz, and the first cousin of Amelia (Miller) Cokonougher.
