                             STAATS.
         Donald Lloyd Staats, 66, 53 Pennsylvania av, Germantown, died 
Thursday afternoon.  
         Mr. Staats was the son of William A. and Lucetta Storts Staats of 
South Salem.  He was a retired employe of General Motors Corp., Dayton.
         His wife, the former Mildred Lytle, survives.
         Also surviving are a son, Larry Staats, Germantown; a daughter, Mrs. 
James (Barbara) Hughes, Cincinnati; four grandchildren; five sisters, Kathryn 
Schiller, Greenfield Rt. 1; Bonnie Tootle, Frankfort; and Audrey Faris, Gail 
McEvers and Beulah Pocsik, all of Dayton, and four brothers, Kenneth, 
Bainbridge Rt. 1; Warren, Lyndon Rt. 1, Dallas, Dayton, and Dane, Brookville.
        Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Murray's Funeral Home, 
Greenfield, with Rev. Tom Rogers of South Salem United Methodist Church 
officiating.  Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery.
        Friends may call from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of the service at the 
funeral home.
