VERLIA M. WILLIAMS. 1916-2001. Verlia M. Williams, 85, of Greenfield, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001 at Edgewood Manor. She was born on Jan. 11, 1916, in Clarksburg, to John and Margaret (Stevenson) Roberts. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Washington Avenue House of Prayer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Williams in 1982; two brothers, Gerald and Wilbur Roberts; and four sisters, Lucille Miley, Betty Groves, Garnett Cottrill and Leola Riley. She is survived by her children, Donald Williams, of Washington C.H., Joe (Faith) Williams, of Frankfort, Tom Williams and Larry (Linda) Williams, both of Greenfield, eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brother, Harold Roberts, of Dayton; three sisters, Edith Mossbarger, of Washington C.H., Eatha Seymour, of Bookwalter and Aldena Byrd, of Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001 at the Washington Avenue House of Prayer. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Washington Avenue House of Prayer.
