This photo shows Zackariah Cokonougher, his wife Mary, and his children in 
1893.  This photo was taken around the time that the Cokonougher family lived 
in the South Salem/Lyndon area of Ross County, Ohio.  The youngest child, 
Harvey Jay Cokonougher, was not born when this phot was taken, but he was set 
into the picture at a much later date, after his birth. 

Additional Comments:

    Zackriah Cokonougher was born 02 April 1853 in Ohio; died 14 September 
1904 in Ross County, Ohio.  He was the son of Adtson Elsworth Cokonougher, 
born 28 June 1824 in Va.; died 21 Dec. 1882 in Ohio, and Elizabeth Shoemaker, 
born 28 Oct. 1820 in Ohio; died 12 Sept. 1872.  Zachariah Cokonougher and Mary 
Elizabeth Wisecup were married 29 August 1873 in Adams County, Ohio. Mary was 
born 14 Feb. 1856 in Ohio; died 27 April 1934 in Ohio.   She was the daughter 
of Joseph Elwood Wisecup, born 20 March 1830 in Ohio; died 11 Jan. 1906 in 
Ohio, and Phoeba Frost, born abt. 1830; died Aug. 1859 in Ohio.
	
Children of Zackriah Cokonougher and Mary Wisecup are:
		i.	William Sylvester Cokonougher, born 12 June 18741; 
married (1) Catherine Rayburn; married (2) Emma Forsythe.
		ii.	Provy Myrtle Cokonougher, born 12 January 1877 in 
Adams County, Ohio.1; died 05 December 1947 in Ross County, Ohio.; married Ira 
Storts 14 November 1894.
		iii.	Addison Elsworth Cokonougher, born 22 February 1880 in 
Ohio1; died 31 May 1933; married Hannah "Mazy" Mazetta Hurless.
		iv.	Joseph Elwood Cokonougher, born 22 February 18801; 
died October 1958; married Viva Storts.
		v.	John Henry Cokonougher, born 06 July 1883 in Wisecup 
Hill. Buckskin Township.  Ross County, Ohio.; died 12 September 1963 in 
Greenfield Municipal Hospital.  Highland County, Ohio.; married Amelia Irene 
Miller 24 August 1916 in Chillicothe.  Ross County, Ohio.
		vi.	Charles S. Cokonougher, born 20 September 1886 in Ross 
County, Ohio1; died 01 September 1912; married Nellie Mae Beatty 15 November 
1911.
		vii.	Anna Mae Cokonougher, born 17 September 1892 in Ross 
County, Ohio1; died 28 January 1978 in Greenfield Manor Nursing Home.  
Greenfield. Highland County, Ohio; married John Adam Schmidt 10 November 1920 
in Ross County, Ohio.
		viii.	Harvey Jay Cokonougher, born 23 June 1896 in Paulding 
County, Ohio1; died 18 May 1968 in Ross County, Ohio; married Dolla Mae Smith 
14 February 1917.
