Barleon. Co. M. 1st Ohio Cav." Additional Comments: George Barleon was born abt. 1843 in La. to George and Mary Barleon who immigrated to Ross County, Ohio from Baden, Germany. The Barleon farm was located in Buckskin Township between what are now called Wisecup Hill Road and Lower Twin Road. George had at least three sisters called Helen (who married Henry Steinmetz), Mary, and Minna (also called Mena, and Minnie).
