This is a photo of the grave marker for Herbert Miller Cokonougher.  It is 
typical of the bronze markers issued for military veterans by the U.S. 
government.  The marker reads:  "HERBERT M. COKONOUGHER.  OHIO.  PFC.  4052 
AREA SVC UNIT.  APRIL 25, 1924.  NOV. 6, 1967."

Additional Comments:

     "Herb" was the son of John Henry Cokonougher (b. 1883. d. 1963) and 
Amelia Irene (Miller) Cokonougher (b. 1900. d. 1963).  He married Christine 
Martha Shepherd (b. 1922. d. 1996) on 12 March 1952.  Christine was the mother 
of one son, Daniel (b. 1944. d. 2005), whom "Herb" adopted.
