When she died, she lived alone at her home on Lower Twin Rd. She died during cold weather, and a few days passed before her frozen body was found. Apparently, after her death, she stayed on in her house, because her ghost appeared to my mother, Viola Cokonougher, 30 years later, in the kitchen of Helen's home. We lived there at the time. Viola described the appearance of her ghost as a white, transparent, figure of a woman who suddenly appeared out of no where, scared her, and then ordered her out of the kitchen. The figure then just as quickly vanished. About 30 years after that, Helen appeared to me several times too, in my dreams. She talked to me within the dream setting of the living room of her old home. I didn't find her a bit scary, and she didn't seem mean at all, as family legend held her to be.
