This 3rd day of June 1875 personally came Joseph Hester and made oath, that he is twenty-one years of age, and that Hannah E. Long is eighteen years of age, and a resident of this County, that both said last named persons are unmarried, and are not nearer of kin than second cousins. Subscribed and Sworn to before me the day and year aforesaid. Signed/N.L. Walker, Probate Judge. Signed/ Joseph Hester." Additional Comments: Joseph and Hannah (Long) Hester are buried in the South Salem Cemetery in South Salem, Ross County, Ohio. Their tombstone reads, "JOSEPH HESTER. NOV. 28, 1850. DEC. 13, 1918. HANNAH HIS WIFE. MAY 2, 1852. MARCH 29, 1917." ********************** Joseph was the son of Zacheus (Zackariah) Hester and Margaret (Hixon) Hester. Hannah was the daughter of Alexander Long and Elizabeth (Long) Long. (They both had the same surname before and after their marriage.)
