From the Ross County, Ohio Probate Court Marriage Affidavits Book, 1853 – 1859.  Page 174.

THE STATE OF OHIO, ROSS COUNTY, SS. 
This 10th day of March 1855 personally came Robert Clark and made oath, that 
he is twenty-one years of age, and that Juliann Miller is Eighteen years of 
age, and a resident of this County, that both said last named persons are 
unmarried, and are not nearer of kin than first cousins.

SUBSCRIBED AND SWORN to before me the day and year aforesaid,

Additional Comments:

The June 1980 newsletter (Vol. VI, No. 2) of the Pike County Chapter (Waverly, 
Ohio) of the Ohio Genealogical Society talks about the Matrimonial Register of 
Rev. J. Halterman.  His register shows that he married:

“Robert Clark to July Anne Miller both of Ross County, Ohio March 18, 1855.”

The family Bible of Robert Clark says that:

“Robert Clark and Julia Ann Miller was married March 18th A.D. 1855.”
