The cemetery is located on the south side of the road and there is a small pull in to the right Department. Apparently there are no written records that are in existence. There was a survey completed in 1971 that includes all the cemeteries in Sandusky County. It is in 5 volumes and indexed by name rather than by cemetery. In this sur map of the cemetery. A stream that flows around the back and wooded area bound the cemetery. This is a very pleasant stting. Rows are arranged north to south with the face of the stones facing west. The rows have been read north to south o Jim Sims in his 5 volume set "Sandusky County, Ohio Cemetery Transcriptions" that was compiled in the 1970's (There is no specific published date) provides the following shot history. "On May 6, 1848 John and Elizabeth Halter deeded ¾ of an acre to the trustees of St. John’s Lutheran and Reformed congregation for a meetinghouse and burying ground. Eventually the church disbanded and in 1898 we find a Catharine Halter deeding the 1.1 acre cemetery to R. W. Lenner. In a few short years Mr. Lenner lost his property through a sheriff’s sale. When Ballville Township took over the cemetery is unknown. However, the oldest readable stone appears to be for a Jacob Bobletts who died in 1837." When I surveyed the cemetery I found that the oldest burial appears to be that of Justin Frary who died June 22, 1934.Previously his death was recorded as June 22, 1851. The last burial took place in 1938 when Margaret E. Fry was interned there. There are other errors that I have noted. In my research there was a church or meetinghouse that was in use up.
