Adams who died on July 5, 1900. Uriah M. Adams, a respected farmer of Porter, died at his home July 5, 1900, aged 67 years. He was born in Greefield township, Sandusky county, Ohio, November 2, 1832. In March 1837, he moved with his parents to Michigan on a farm one and a half miles from his late home, where he lived until April 19, 1865, when, he was married to Jane McKain and settled on a farm where he died, at which place they have always lived. He leaves a wife, six children, five grandchildren, one brother, and three sisters to mourn their loss. The funeral was held from the home on Saturday, July 7, at 2 o'clock, Rev. W. R. Sink of Corey preaching the sermon. His four sons and two sons-in-law carried him to his last resting place. ----- In this way we desire to express our heart felt thanks to our friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us druing the sickness, death, and burial of our dear husband and father.
