Bradshaw and some neighbors had gone to Sandusky for lumber to build him a house and it is stated that Bradshaw had been drinking. Bradshaw was riding on a load of lumber and when near Venice fell from the load, the wheels of the wagon running over his head crushing his skull. Mr. Stevens who was riding with Bradshaw did not miss him at first. He then drove back and found Bradshaw unconscious in the road. He was taken to a nearby house and lived about two hours. His body was taken to Sandusky and prepared for burial. Bradshaw was an old soldier about 64 years of age. He leaves a wife and several small children. The funeral was held at Ray Shore church Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock and burial was made in the Tew cemetery.
