HER LONG ILLNESS AT AN END

Death Sunday of Mrs. Elizabeth Gassman, of Middle Street.

Mrs. Elizabeth Gassman died at her home Sunday afternoon after an extended 
illness.  She had dropsy and other complications.  She was the mother of 11, 9 
of whom are still living---5 daughters and 4 sons.  Several children reside 
out-of-town but will be here for the funeral.

The service will be held at St. John's Lutheran church Tuesday afternoon at 2 
o'clock.  Her remains will be laid to rest along side her husband in the 
family lot at Oakwood.  Mrs. Gassman was 59 years, 3 months of age and was 
born in Germany, June 24, 1842.
