Heter, a former resident of Bellevue, who was known in Clyde, was killed by lightning near Breckenridge, Colo., some time Monday. Chas. F. Heter was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Heter, well known pioneer residents of York township. He was born at Carey, O., and had he lived until the 23rd of the present month, would have been 53 years of age. He removed with his parents to York township, where he was married to Miss Melinda Mook, of York township. Four children were born to them as follows: Edith, now Mrs. Henry Doke, of Denver, Colo.; Duane Heter, of Bellevue, and Merle and Lawrence who are still at home. Mr. Heter’s father died a few years ago but his widowed mother still lives at the old homestead, four miles east of town. Besides his mother the dead man leaves two brothers and six sisters, Irvin J. Heter, of Bellevue; George, of Peabody, Kas.; Mrs. George Setzler, of Caldwell, Kas.; Mrs. W.W.
