Jones, a well known and highly respected resident of York township, died at her home near Colby Friday, aged 62 years. The deceased had been in her usual health until two weeks ago when she sustained a stroke of apoplexy, which caused her death. The maiden name of Mrs. Jones was Catherine Mook. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Mook and was born and grew to womanhood on a farm in York township. After her marriage to Mr. Jones they located on the farm where their entire married life was spent. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, two sons and two daughters. They are W.E. Jones of Colby, and Laurel of home, Mrs. Wm. Dymond and Mrs. Chas. Wise of near Colby. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. J.S. Fitterer, of York township, and Mrs. Mary L. Landis, of Bellevue. _______ Clyde Enterprise, 31 Aug 1916 Mrs. Catherine Mook Jones, wife of Wm S Jones, died Friday afternoon at the family home near Colby, at the age of 62 years. Two weeks previous she was stricken with paralysis, which caused her death. The funeral was held from the home Monday at two o’clock, conducted by Rev. Haldeman, with interment at York Free Chapel. Deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Mook, and was born, married and lived her entire life in York township. She was an excellent woman, whose death will be deeply deplored in the community. Besides the husband, Mrs. Jones leaves two sons and two daughters, W.E. Jones of Colby, and Laurel at home, Mrs. Wm. Dymond and Mrs. Chas Wise of near Colby. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. J.S. Fitterer, of York township and Mrs. Nary L. Mrs. Jones was a devout Christian woman, a devoted wife, a loving mother and kind neighbor whose death is deeply deplored. The funeral took place fromthe house Monday at one and from York Free Chapel at two o’clock. Services were conducted by Rev.
