Garey L. Marshall, 57
     Byron - Garey L. Marshall, 57, of Byron IL died Sunday, May 27, 2001, in 
Swedish American Hospital, Rockford IL.  Born Dec. 31, 1943, in Franklin 
Furnace, OH., son of George Edgar Marshall and Malisia Brookie Sias Marshall.  
Married Romanie Campbell on July 3, 1963, in KY.  Formerly a member of the 
Church of Christ in Portsmouth, OH.  He was a 25-year employee of Pacific 
Scientific in Rockford, IL.  He enjoyed coins, computers and genealogy.  He was 
also a family man, being a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather 
and great-grandfather.  Survivors include his wife, Romanie,; daughter Cynthia 
Jean (Terry) Weil of Mount Morris, IL., sons Dwayne Vincent (Nancy) of Amboy IL 
and Kenneth Allen (Rebecca) of Schaumburg, IL; mother, Malisia Brookie Sias 
Marshall Middlecamp of Leaf River,IL; sister Doris Oletta (Lonnie) Mathis of 
Leaf River, IL., half-sister Elsie Marshall Marsh of VA; half-brother George 
Marshall of MA.; grandchildren Joey Miller, Nicholas Marshall, Kristine 
Marshall, Alexandra Kelly and Danielle Grimley; and great-granddaughere Sara 
Miller.  Predeceased by father George Edgar Marshall; stepfather Harry Vincent 
Middlecamp; brother Ernest Eugene; John Henry; and half-brothers James Edwin, 
Harry Gilbert and Claude.
     Services at 11 A.M. Thursday, May 31, in Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral 
Home, 506 W. Merchant St., Bryon, IL.  Visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, 
May 30, in the funeral home.  Burial in Byron Cemetery.  A memorial has been 
established in his name.
