George Edgar Marshall
     Funeral services for George Edgar Marshall, 65, a former resident of 
Portsmouth, were to be conducted at 3 P.M. today at Cook & Son funeral Home in 
columbus, OH., and burial was to follow in a Columbus cemetery.
     The former localite died Monday night in Columbus, after a six-month 
illness.
     Mr. Marshall was born Sept. 22, 1891, at Charlottesville, VA.  Prior to 
his illness, he was employed by Superior Chemical Co. at Youngstown, OH.
     Surviving are six sons, Claude of Miami, FL., James of Morehead, KY., 
George of Providence, RI., Harry of Columbus, John of New Boston and Garey Lee 
1714 Poplar St; two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Marsh of Charlottesville, VA., and 
Miss Doris Marshall, 1714 Poplar St.; a brother, Robert Marshall of NC.; a 
sister Mrs. Lillian Davis of Youngstown and a half-sister Mrs. Mary Hensley of 
Charlottesville, VA.
