Scioto Co. Ohio Victor Hugo Lambour 83, died at 10;50 p.m. Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clyde McCann, in the Camp neighborhood following a 12-year illness. He was a native of France, born in Alsace-Lorraine on July 7, 1866, a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Fellerette Lambour Mr. Lambour was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha, in 1943. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Goldie McCann of Camp, at whose home he died and Mrs. Esther Pluckhorn of Sandusky; two sons, Eugene Lambour of Anderson , INdiana, and Alloy Lambour of the Sailor and Soldiers' Home in Sandusky; 9 grand children and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2p.m. Monday at the Harmon Church with Rev. Sherman Swogger of Rarden officiating. Burial followed in Harmon Cemetery under the direction of A.H. Boyer, local funeral director Additional Comments: Note. Victor Hugo Lambour was born Viktor Hugo Lambur in ElsaB-Lothringen Alsace Lorraine France to Jacques Lambur and Marie Elise Fellerath, according to records from micro film, found by Vicky Bair of St. Paris. Old documents of Viktor show that the reason for him leaving France was the German Emperor, in that he left just after the Franco Prussian War. This war was faught in Alsace Lorrain France and after ward, Alsace was given back to the Germans. Victor Hugo Lambour was the grand father of Victor Boyd Lambour whom spent many years and rasied a family in Urbana, Champaign Co. Ohio Victor Hugo Lambour lived in Toledo Ohio, in the Catholic faith and with his first family. He left the Church and his first family and married Bertha Tubbs and moved to the Camp Creek, Rarden, Scioto Co. Ohio area. He then became a minister and preached in an old poplar cabin , which still stands today. I have the following list of children for Viktor Hugo Lambur: With Helen Rakowsky he had the following children to the best of my knowledge: Charles Joseph, Allois Frank, Clara Elizabeth, Esther Victoria, John George, Then I have Jack whom may have been Joseph.
