Portsmouth Daily Times 7/1975
William Royal, 81, of West Portsmouth, died Friday at Scioto Memorial 
Hospital.  A Greenup County native, he was retired Detroit Steel Corp. employee 
and a veteran of World War I.  Surviving is his wife, Dorothea Smith Royal; 
five sons, William Bud Royal of Lucasville Rt. 2, Tom of Portsmouth Rt. 6, 
Lawrence of Wheelersburg Rt. 5, and Charles and Dale of Portsmouth; five 
daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Hall and Mrs. Teresa O'Dell, both of Dayton, Mrs. 
Cora Middleton and Mrs. Nancy Gardner, both of Portsmouth and Mrs. Roberta 
Royce of Portsmouth Rt. 5; two brothers, John Royal of West Portsmouth and 
Everett of Portsmouth, 39 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  Funeral 
services are to be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home 
with Karl Jorgensen officiating. Burial is to be in Scioto Burial Park.  
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight
