                              THOMAS H. BENNETT


    Thomas H. Bennett, 82, of Madison Township, near Minford, died at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday after an illness of several months. He was a retired farmer.

Mr Bennett was born on Sept. 21, 1856 on the farm where he died having lived
there all his life. He was a son of Mr and Mrs Nimrod J. Bennett. On March 14,
1893, he was married to Anna M. Samson.

For more than 50 years, Mr Bennett had been a member of the Minford Methodist
Church and was its Sunday School superintendentfor 25 years. He was a member of
the Lucasville Masonic Lodge, Knights of Pythias of Minford and Madison Grange.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs Elza Kallner; a grandson, Lowell
Kallner; and a great granddaughter, Mary Ann Kallner. He also leaves two sisters
and a brother, Mrs Nancy Erwin, Mrs Susie Crull and George P. Bennett, all of
near Minford. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the residence. with
Rev. David Williams, Pastor of the Minford Methodist Church officiating. Burial
will be in Bennett Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Hammerstein of
Beaver.
