It was a happy event in the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Schults last Monday when the two were privileged to celebrate together in company with a number of children and neighbors, their golden wedding anniversary. For fifty years the couple has lived together in happy comradeship, rearing a family of seven children, and now seeing them all bringing up their own families in different parts of Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Schults were married on February 13, 1872 and lived for most of their lives in Allen and Putnam counties. They have resided for the last 26 years on their present little and unassuming homestead of a little over three acres. On this small acreage they are making their living with some odd jobs that Mr. Schults is able to do. Those who celebrated the happy occasion with them were Mr. and Mrs. James Martz and four boys of West Cairo, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Schults and two boys of West Cairo, Mr. and Mrs. Willeta Smith and two children of Lima, Warren Kilgore and Elwood Kilgore of Lima, two brothers of Mrs. Schults and Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Teegardin. Twenty three grandchildren and five great grandchildren belong to this family. Those of the children who could not attend were Mrs. Rose Woods of Farmdale, O., Mrs. Florence Herman of Kinsman, O., Mrs. Margaret Miller of Columbus Grove, Ohio, and Mrs. Elba Young of New Washington, Ohio. __________
