Page 11b OBITUARY -------- Alice Adora? daughter of Wal- len and Elizabeth M? who was born at Bloomsburg Columbia County, Pa., October 6, 1849 Departed this life at her home in Columus Grove, Ohio, August 25th, 1922. Age 72 years, 10 months, 19 days. On February 28, 1868 at Vaughusville, Ohio, she was united in marriage to John F. Pangle. To this union were born six children, four sons and two daughters. All are living. When twelve years old she was converted and joined the Aug- laize River Church near Delphos, under the pastorate of Rev. Monts. For many years she has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Columbus Grove. While in health she was faithful to the work of church and during the month and years of her afflictions she has shown a keen interest. She leaves to mourn their loss her kind and devoted husband, the six children, Mrs. Marion Al- len, Columbus Grove, O.; Samuel P. Pangle, Vaughnsville, O.; Bert Wallen Pangle, Greenup, Ill.; Edward Bush Pangle, Tecumsch, Mich.; Mrs. Edward Rogers, Col- umbus Grove and Charles Cler- ence Pangle, Cleveland, O.; nine- teen grand children, ten great grandchildren, one half brother Vance Pangle, Vaughusville, O. two half sisters, Harriett Elnora Cashner, Piqua, O.; Minnie Tyler of Columbus Grove, O., and many relatives and friends. Sleep, mother dear; your pain is o'er; How well we loved you; But the Lord loved you more. Sweet by thy rest, mother dear; You will have a crown in heaven for pain you suffered here. Brewer and Co., and employ- es, Tecumseh, Mich., the M. E. church societies and Rebekah lodge. Jno F. Pangle, children and grandchildren. WILLIAM KRAMER DIES AT ST. RITAS HOSPITAL ---- Death Was Due to Blood Poison- ing and Lockjaw. ---- William Kramer died at St. Ritas hospital last Friday night death being due to blood poison- ing brought about by the burns in the explosion of the gasoline torch in his home on North Main street on Tuesday, November 14. Mr. Kramer was getting along fairly well until last Thursday when blood poisoning started in and caused his death. The body was brought home Saturday for burial. Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's church on Monday morning, burial taking place at Ottawa. Mr. Kramer was 56 years old at time of his death. He was born in Ft. Jennings, lived for some time in Glandorf and Otta- wa and about two years ago re- moved to Columbus Grove with his family. He had been an in- valid for three years due to a stroke of paralysis. He is survived by a widow and eight children. The children are Mrs. Abe Losch, Beaverdam, Joe, at St. Ritas Hospital, Lima, Ben, Albert, Lawrence, Edward, Lau- retta, and Louise all at home. ARTHUR DEKEN DIES TUESDAY MORNING ---- Arthur Deken aged pioneer of this community passed away last Tuesday morning at his late res- idence at the age of 89 years. Arthur Deken was born near Gomer, Ohio, on December 29, 1832. In 1868 he married Lu- cinda Parrish and soon after moved to Columbus Grove where he lived ever since. In his earlier life he followed the occupation of a farmer but when he came to Columbus Grove he was cabinet maker. His wife preceded him twenty- five years ago. Mr. Deken was teh last surviving member of his father's family. He was an in- valid for the past four years. The stepdaughters who sur- vive are Mrs. Barbara Tate of Columbus Grove and Mrs. Julia Reppert of Lima, Ohio. Funeral services were held at his home on Wednesday after- noon, Rev. Shock officiating. ------------- Donald Hoffman left Saturday for Peoria, Ill., where he will at- tend Bredley College.
