Page007 Death by Suicide William Mark, a retired farmer living in Vaughsville, committed suicide last Friday afternoon by hanging himself to a joist in his barn. He was 53 years old. Despondency which came over him recently, caused him to commit the deed. His widow and two sisters survive him. The deceased was born and raised in Sugar Creek township and lived there his entire life. He was married to Margaret Evans and had been a very successful farmer. By the practice of Christianity in his every day life he won the respect and confidence of all who knew him and his rash act was a shock to the entire community. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the home conducted by Rev Mansel Jones of the Congregational church.
