Waldron Delbert Waldron, well known hardware merchant, passed away at his home on North Main street on Tuesday morning, Oct. 29th, after a brave struggle for life. He was aged 42 years, 3 months and 8 days. He had been in rather poor health for several months past, and two weeks ago became a victim of influenza, followed by pneumonia and other complications, which resulted fatally in slpite of the best of care and every medical attention. Delbert Waldron, or Bert as he was familliarly known, was the son of Charles and Josephine Waldron, and was born at Ovid, Mich., July 21, 1876. He came with his parents to Clyde nearly 30 years ago, and for 28 years had been identified with the hardware business here, either as employee or proprietor. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, and had for years been a member of the Board of Public Affairs of the village, and it's president. He was a genial openhearted gentleman, and his passing is greatly deplored among his business associates and the people generally. Bert was married Dec. 30, 1897, to Miss Ruth Miller, the faithful wife who survives him. He also leaves a son, Delbert, aged 13, besides his mother, his brother, Karl C. Waldron, and a sister, Mrs. Winfield Mills of near Fremont. Funeral services, which will be private, will be held at the home Thursday at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. Earl A. Miller, with interment in McPherson cemetery. Transcribed by Antje Darling
