Grover was found dead in the N.Y.C. depot Monday morning about 7:30. He had beeen about the depot Sunday afteroon and evening, and apparently was in the act of lying down on a seat when he passed away. The body was found by George Scholey. Coroner Eagon was summoned from Fremont and on his arrival he ordered the body turned over to an undertaker. It was removed to Fiser's undertaking rooms and was taken later to the home of a sister, Mrs. S. P. Leach at Bakertown. L. C. Grover, son of Enos and Sarah Grover, was born at the old home-stead at Bakertown Jan. 1, 1855. He grew to manhood in the vicinity, and on Feb. 15, 1882, was united in marriage to Miss Isabelle Meek. To them was born one son, Robert, who passed away about a year ago. The wife has also been dead a number of years. Mr. Grover was one of a family of six children, three of whom are living, namely, Mrs. Louisa Leach and Mrs. Nannie Shellhamer of Clyde, and W. C. Grover, whose residence is unknown. The funeral was held at the Bakertown schoolhouse yesterday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. L. O. Eldredge, and the burial was made in Bakertown cemetery. ------ Transcribed by Antje Darling
