Mrs. Lewis Mesnard Mrs. Lewis Mesnard passed away at her home on Hamer street Monday morning at 6 o'clock after an extended illness. The funeral services will be held at the M. E. church this afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Eldredge officiating, and the burial will be made in McPherson cemetery. Nancy Albough, daughter of David and Rebecca Albaugh, was born in Crawford county, Aug. 14, 1839. She was one of seven children, only one surviving, Eli Albough of Clyde. She grew to womanhood in Crawford county, and was married to Lewis Mesnard, May 9, 1867. With her husband she moved here about 30 years ago, and for many years they lived on the Limerick road, coming to Clyde about a year ago. To this union 7 children were born, all of whom survive except two, George, who died Feb. 27, 1873, and Frank who passed away Dec. 6th. Those living in Clyde are Mrs. W. A. Sargeant, Charles and Corman Mesnard. Elmer and Earl Mesnard reside at Whitehouse, Ohio. Mrs. Mesnard joined the M. E. church many years ago and was also an ardent worker in the W.C.T.U. She was a faithful and patient mother and leaves many friends to mourn her loss. ------ Transcribed by Antje Darling
