Menges of Bucyus, well known here, is under fire because of the discovery that for more than two years a 26-year-ol daughter had been kept in an iron-sheeted shed in the rear of his home, scantily clad and a prisoner in the small building which had not even a window. The girl was at one time confined in the Toledo State hospital but was discharged as cured in 1915. She is now in the care of the sheriff and the matter is being investigated. Menges is a piano tuner and is said to be well-to do. Transcribed by: Marianne Hitchcock Smith ----
