Locy, passed away at their home on the Lay pike south of town near Tuttle's Hill at the age of 83 years, 9 months and 18days. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at the residence, conducted by Rev. T. L McConnell, and the body was taken to Fostoria by undertaker Beard for interment in the cemetery there. Besides her husband Mrs. Locy is survived by a son, Hiram T. Locy of Akron, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Catherine Fleig, who has resided with her grandparents. She was a cousin of attorney Thos. P. Dewey, their mothers having been sisters. The family came several years ago from Geauga county and bought the Tichenor fruit farm which has since been their home. Mrs. Locy was a woman of more than usual attainments, and in her younger days taught school for some years. She was a great home lover, and of later years her whole thought has been for the hapiness and comfort of home life. She had been in feeble health for several years, suffering from arterial sclerosis. Transcribed by: Marianne Hitchcock Smith ----
