Woodman last Saturday evening was a great surprise and shock to many friends. He had not been in good health for some time and had been under the care of a physician. He had rooms at the E. J. Whittaker home on Amanda street where he stayed until about three weeks previous, when he was taken very ill at the home of a neighbor, Mrs. Nellie Winnie, where he remained and was given every possible care and the best medical attention until his death, which was due to pneumoria. Nurses The body was taken to Beard's undertaking rooms and later to D. L. Ames' home on East street, the funeral being held there Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Following a request of Mr. Woodman made some time ago, Christian Science services were conducted, the Reader being Mrs. W. A. Mason of bellevue. The interment was made in McPherson cemetery beside his wife. Mr. Woodman was born August 8, 1861, at Catawba, Island, Ohio, his parents being Joseph and Eva Woodman. Of four children born to them only one son survives, namely, John Woodman of Catawba Island. Harry began the study of telegraphy at the age of 18, and became a very effcient and expert operator, following this work in connection with farming and orcharding until his last illness. He was married Dec. 31, 1883, to Miss Angie Ames of Clyde, who died Feb. 8, 1911. He was a good citizen, a most interesting companion, and leaves many friend to mourn his passing. ---- Gwendolyn Hardesty Oliver OHGenWeb Coordinator ohio@usroots.com
