CHURCH I received an intitation To Be with you here tonight; I am glad to be among you; Hope I'll do my part all right. When I read the splended class roll Of the U. B. Brotherhood, I could no refrain from thinking "Surely this old world is good." This in spite of all the doctrines, Teaching that it's growing worse; Here you find the best of workers In the kingdom: not reverse. I am going to call the class roll; Hope I'll see you in your place, Happy to be here this evening, With a smile upon your face. Do I see the faithful teacher, Mr. Roberts W. B.? Yes, and mongst the smiling faces, D.M. Allen's face I see; There's his father, S. D. Allen, Many a year he's faithful been. Is Orlanda Beam among us? William Beardsley's coming, when? There;s our faithful Samuel Hartman, And the Hoffman's, guess there's three, Are they all here in there places? William, Henry and C. C.? Thought I noticed N. K. Irwin, And Frank Johnson is he here? Then there's Virgil McElderry, And I think Clyde Long is near. Looking o'ver this splendid gathering, I can see the radiant smile, Of Len. our faithful superintendent; He is cheerful all the while. And I know that Amos Nichols, Will be with you then tonight; E. B. Norris, I. E. Bogart Surely do thing up just right. Think I see a face familiar, Guess he is your secretary; You all know the faithful service; Of S. E. Brant, efficient very. Have you seen Joel Amstutz? Russell Harris, Grover Boaz" Couldn't get along without them; Royal Covey goodness know He is an efficient teacher Of the younger class of men. Grover Nichols and Ray Bogart, Do their duty, faithful, when They instruct those growing children; Albert Talbert and Frank Rau, Charlie Gettman and Guy Benroth, Are they present with us now? Do I see J. E. Matson? C. H. Jones and Harry Kidd" Adam, Kiefer and Jess Ranchel? Each on service often did. And then too I just now wondered Whether Homer Kiefer's here; Charles McClure and Luther Bowman, And Rev. Shock, our pastor dear, How we'd miss his cheerful presence, And the influence that is shed Round about us by his teachings. And the Christian life he's led. Does anyone see Homer Fruchey? Did William Rieger come tonight? I am sure that Wilber Saunders Always does the thing that's right. Why there's Clark Nichols and Guy Stewert I knew they'd never stay away; Amos Benroth and his brother, Charlie, faithful every day. B. F. Seitz is here this evening; (Wonder if he brought the band) Clarence Roberts, always present; I knew George Smith would be "on hand" I wonder if Carm Norris is able To be present with the rest; Allie Bushong and Ray Bowers Always do the thing that's best Heard that Charlie Jones was coming; Do I find Lon Johnson here? Charles McDowell and Artie Reppert? If they'd go you'd shed a tear. Is Will Hartman here this evening? Thought I saw him ago; William Kidd and William Gettman, Bron McDowell; you'd miss them so. Did I hear Joe Follis talking? Or Guy Whitney; was that he? Saw John Glaney as I entered, Or thought I did; where can he be? David Ernest, are you with us? Surley you would much enjoy Fellowship in such a meeting; Where is Mr. Kohli--Coy? Can you find me Philip Welty? And Frank Pence and Lugibill? Louis Meile and Joseph Hartman? If you can't George Bowers will. I'm sure you all would miss so sadly, Roy Vendermark and Adam Smith, Ed Henderson and Joseph Fruchey. Whos is Frank Dilsaver with? There's one who teaches in the corner, Joseph Bushong, faithful too. Daniel Johnson and James Clancy, What without them would we do? I don't see T. M. Mayberry, But perhaps he's here all right; you know farmers, men are busy, Perhaps he can't get out tonight. Basingers, there's Sam and Louis, You can tell them by their smile, Did you lose Eli Niswander, Or will he just be gone awhile? And does W. P. Meunschwander Know about the meeting here? Dewey Best and Melvin Hilty, I do not see them I fear; Haven't seen Roy Moeller lately, Jesse Buck or Charlie Beam; I guess some of these are present, What without them would it seem? Say, you men have quite a gathering, 'Fraid I'll miss somebody now; But I don't intend to; no sir, Try and see you all somehow. Is Bertzel Fruchey here I wonder? Carl Bowers and C. V. Jones? I don't see Claude Rimer present; Perhaps he is; you have no drones No they all are up and doing, Is Hugh Clymer here tonight? Clifford Fruchey was invited; Elmce Steman's here all right; Wonder now if Oscar Connard, And James Critten are back there; I can't tell, you are so many, 'Most a hundred; I don't care, I am glad to see the interest Taken by you faithful men; And the next is George Alstetter, And Fred Stanffer; and who then? Why Dewitt Mosher and then Russell Vandemark and Zimmerly; Are they not or are they present? And if not, where can they be?
