Vaughnsville is the place you know
Where the stockman loves to go
Here they see livestock galore
In the township we adore,
Shorthorn do predominate,
But with sadness we relate
Since the Angus came to town
All our plans are upside down.

And the honors that we clain
Set the pace for others gain;
Content we were to travel slow
And give our herds a chance to grow;
One calf at a time is enought to bank
On Scotch Top Bates and the Cruickshank.
But since the Angus came to town

Better days are what we need
For the Angus are on high speed
Miller's triplets are three of a kind.
Be of good cheer and keep in mind
This will happend never more.
