OBITUARY Loa Faithful McClure Loa Faithful McClure, daughter of Charley G. and Martha McClure was born in Vaughnsville, Ohio, on February 8th, 1884 and departed this life at the home of her parents in Columbus Grove, Ohio, on October 27th, 1922, aged 38 years, 8 months and 19 days. She was of a family of five children, two boys and three girls. One of the girls died in infancy. Those remaining are Richard and Guy McClure and Gertrude Anderson, wife of Earl Anderson of Columbus Grove. In the year 1922, Loa confessed Christ as her personal Savior and united with St. John's United Brethren Church, then under the pastoral care of Rev. M. R. Gibson and was faithful to her covenant vows ever after. She suffered bodily afflication for many years, but with that patience and fortitude of one who knows the Lord. She was a faithful attendant on church services when her strength would permit, often going at the price of physical suffering. It was her nature to be quiet, not much of a mixer in society, yet everybody who knew her was her friend. She loved company and was a lover of little children. With the exception of eight and onehalf years spent in Paulding County her entire life was lived in Putnam County. She leaves to mourn her going, father, mother, two brothers, one sister, some nephews and nieces, a number of other relatives and a large circle of neighbors and friends. These all have the sympathy of those who know the meaning of sympathy, and can comfort themselves with the following thoughts. "Not changed but glorified? Oh beauteous thought, For those who weep, Mourning the loss of some dear face departed, Fallen asleep! "How will it look the face that we have cherished, Hushed into silence, never more to comfort the hearts of men; Gone like the shadows of another country, Beyond our ken? "How will it look, the face that we have cherished, When next we meet? Will it be changed--so glorified and saintly That we shall know it not? Will there be nothing that will say, I love thee? And I have not forgot? O faithful heart! the same loved face transfigured Shall meet thee there--Less sad, less wistful, in immortal beauty Divinely fair. "Let us be patient, we who mourn with weeping Some vanished face; The Lord has taken, but to add more beauty And a diviner grace. When through the storm and tempted safely anchored Just on the other side, We shall find that dear face through death's deep shadows Not changed buy glorified." Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon and were largely attended by friends and relatives, Rev. Shock officiating. Burial took place at Turner cemetery.
