Welcome, children, welcome,
We hail the Children's Day
Welcome, children, welcome,
So happy, glad and gay.

Welcome, children, welcome,
We love to see you here
For the Savior loved the children,
And gave them words of cheer.

While on His mission here below,
He blessed them with his love
Now let us his example show,
And direct their minds above.

For He said, "Except as one of these ye become,
Ye must from me depart,
Ye cannot in heaven have a home
If Sin is in your heart.

Now children in your youth
Remember Jesus died for you,
Practice love, and worship truth,
And all your duty do.

For the children of to-day,
Are just the same that Jesus blessed
Then why not His precepts obey
And with Him forever rest.

For He has told us in His word
That none with Him can ever dwell,
Except the children of the Lord,
And they who the story of Jesus tell.

And now obedient children please remember this,
That when you come to die
You may enjoy the Savior's bliss,
In that dear land above the sky.

Where pease and joy forever heign
And all is pleasant there,
Where none but the tood can ere remain,
Beneath the Savior's care.
