Council Pokes the Fire The only regular work done by the members of the village council at its regular session last Friday evening was to take turns in poking the fire to keep things warmed up, as it was not a very "heated" session. During the process they found an interval long enough to pay the regular bills and then adjourned. ---- CLYDE, OHIO, Feb. 22, 1923. WHAT THEY SAY. C. M. Agler--When I first came to Clyde a number of people seemed to know me right away, and a good many of them called me "Doc." Now, selling tickets and selling pills are two different jobs entirely, but one farmer living south of town presis- ted in calling me "Doc" and giving me a cheery smile whenever I hap- pened to see him. The other day we met face to face, and once more came the same old "Hello Doc," only this time he added that he was coming to my office to see me about getting some medicine. I said "Say, who do you think I am, anyway?" and at that he looked sort of sheepish and said, "Gee, I thought you were Doc Baker." Now I have a dickens of a time convincing Baker that I haven't col- lected a lot of his pill money. ----
