      Wind Plays Pranks.

   The high wind last week played
havoc with many automobiles that
dared to venture forth in the gale.
A feelt of five new Buick cars passed
through town along McPherson High-
way and three of them had their tops
blown off.  Chaz Bishop of the
Clyde Garage went to a place west of
town on McPherson Highway to
change a tire for a party, and just as
he was leaving the spot the wind took
off the top on an Overland touring
car he was driving.  There was other
damage done to trees and chimneys
in this vicinity.
