Grabach, passed away at their home in Tecumseh, Mich., last Friday after an illness of more than a year. She had never recovered from the effects of the operation. The body arrives in Clyde Tuesday morning, accompanied by her husband, and was taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Gus Newhouse, south of town, where funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was made at St. Jacob's cemetery. Fannie Gruver was born in Adams township, Sept. 11, 1880. She was the daughter of Daniel and Amanda Gruver. Her girlhood days were spent in the vicinity of her birth and at the age of 16 years she was united in marriage to William H. Grabach of near Green Springs adn they resided on a farm near Green Springs until they moved to Michigan in 1908. She was the mother of eight children, namely Mrs. Roy Chappin of Mecosta, Mich., Naomi, who died in infancy, and Daniel, Geraldine, Gwendolyn, Lisle, Loice and Bertha all at home. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother, namely Miss Anna Gruver of Fremont and Edwin Gruver of Bloomville. ----------------------- Will Address Boy Scouts. This is Boy Scout week all over the nation and in special observance of the occasion Rev. T. L. McConnell will deliver a special sermon to the Clyde scourts next Sunday evening. The lads regret very much that Scoutmaster Wold will be unable to be present. Robert Pickett is looking after his duties as scoutmaster. ------------- Clyde Walloped Willard High Clyde High basketball team must have had a grudge against Willard High Friday night, when they ran up a score of 48-12 in a one-sided basketball game at Terry's Hall. Substitutes were used during most of the game and every man gave a good account of himself. Willard never had a chance during the entire contest. Sargeant was the star of the evening, caging 11 field goals, which is a record of be proud of in any basketball game. Wincland got 6, Moyer 2, Jack also made 2 free throws. In a preliminary game the Junior High of Clyde defeated the 2nd team by a score of 16-12. Friday evening will be the big attraction in the basketball world for Clyde, when the strongest team yet met this year will come down to Clyde. Berlin Heights, which has defeated practically everything in its path for the past few seasons, is scheduled to bring both its boys and girls teams here, and Clyde will be primed for the big battle of the year. A record crowd is expected to be at Terry's Hall tomorrow evening. ----------------
