An Enraged Bull Makes Things Lively for Township Line Farmer Frank Durnwald had an exciting time with a big Holstein bull the other day at his place east of town on the township line road. The affair in the evening and began by the bull becoming enraged at nothing in particular, as is sometimes their custom. The animal tore down the pen it was quartered in reducing the heavy board to kindling wood. It then ran into the barn, picked out an empty stall and proceeded to tear the manger to pieces. Mr. Durnwald was naturally pretty well scared at the prospects of seeing his buildings town down and when he mustered up enough courage he took a peek around the ruins and found Mr. Bull in the barnyard, resting from his efforts. Thereupon, he sneaked up on the animal around a straw stack and grabbed it by the ring in its nose and yelled for a rope. His son brought the rope and with no effort they finally got the animal into a stall, where the bull pinned the lad against the manger. He was uninjured, however, and was able to get away without further difficulty. It has taken no little effort and expense to repair the damage done by the bull. --------------------- Died at Swanton.
