Shatzer passed away at her home on George street last Sunday evening at 11:30 o'clock, aged 68 years, 8 months and 30 days. Fun- eral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, con- ducted by Rev. Isiah Revennaugh, and the body was held here until Wednesday morning, when it was taken in the Reard funeral car to Rows cemetery at Polk, Ohio, where interment was made. Mary Sigmond was born in Weifield, Switzerland, in 1856, and when a baby six months of age she came to America with her parents and settled in Chillicothe, O. In 1908 she was united in marriage to Jacob Hess of Reedsburg, O. After his death she married J. B. Shatzer, and later the couple moved to Clyde and conducted a variety store in the Hock block on Buckeye street. Mr. Shatzer passed away in 1917 and since that time she has been spending the winters in Flordia with her sister Mrs. Peck of Cleve- land, and also a good share of her time at her home of George street. Miss Emma Britenburg had been liv- ing with her for some time past. She was a member of the Presby- terian church in Clyde and one of her last requests was that she be laid to rest beside her first husband at Rows cemetery. ----
