Aged Woman Killed By Train Mrs. Mary Sherrick Lives For Hour After Being Hil After Alighting From Car Mrs. Mary Sherrick, aged Elida resident, was fatally injured yesterday when an eastbound Pennsylvania passenger train struck her as she was crossing the tracks at stop No. 7 on the Ohio Electric interurban line. She died here less than an hour later while being taken to the Lima City hospital in an ambulance. Mrs. Sherrick was seventy-two years old and the widow of Henry Sherrick, formerly _______ an Elida business man. She had just alighted from an Ohio Electric car and was walking across the Pennsylvania traks in the direction of the home of a relative, whom she intended to visit, when the passenger train struck her. Apparently no one saw the accident. Her body was hurled some distance, but she did not lose consciousness and was able to shout for help. Bystanders rushed to her aid and she was put on an interurban car bound for Lima. An ambulance met the party at the station here, but Mrs. Sherrick died before reaching the hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Lutheran church in Elida. Burial will be made in Salem cemetery near that place. The Rev. Brewer will officiate. -------------- Deaths and Funerals Price -- Mrs. Mary Price, 84 years old, died at the home of her son, Thomas M. Price, in Gomer, Friday afternoon. Death was due to the infirmities of age. Her husband, the late Richard Price, preceded her in death 18 years ago. She is survived by two sons, Thomas, with whom she resided and William R. also of Gomer. Funeral Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Welch Congregational church, in Gomer, the Rev. T. J. Jones officiating. Burial in Gomer cemetery. ---------------- Jones -- Miss Martha E. Jones, 74, native of Wales, died yesterday in Gomer. She leaves a brother, Llewelyn Jones, with whom she lived. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Gomer cemetery. Mrs. Jones had resided nearly all her life in Gomer, where she was among the best known residents of the village. ----
