C. SCHINDLER, farmer, P. O. New Riegel, is one of the industrious and enterprising young farmers of Big Spring Township, this county, where he was born July 4, 1860, a son of Charles and Ursula Schindler, natives of Baden, Germany. Our subject's father was twice married, the first time in Baden, second time in Seneca County, Ohio, and was the parent of the following children: John, by his first wife; and by his second wife, Mary, wife of Michael Gruss; Agatha, wife of John Klein; Anthony C.; Frances and Elizabeth now living, and Jacob and Frederick deceased. Our subject, with his brother-in-law is managing his father's farm, comprising 200 acres of land in a high state of cultivation. The family are all members of the Catholic Church of St. Boniface.
