Michael HICKEY Sr.  

Michael had an obituary 2 May 1901 Tiffin, Seneca Co., OH 

       the funeral of the Late Michael Hickey will be held at St. Marys Catholic
church Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock (Daily Tribune, page 5 col 2.). 
 
Michael also had an obituary 2 May 1901 Tiffin, Seneca Co., OH 

       "Michael Hickey, of 305 East Perry street, well known as the sexton of St
Mary's cemetery, died at 1 o'clock pm Wednesday of pneumonia, after a lingering
illness, aged 73 yrs and 5 months. The funeral will be held at St. mary's
Catholic church Friday morning at 8:30. The deceased was born in Cork, Ireland ,
and came to America  in 1861, stopping for a short time in Philadelphia, and
then coming to Tiffin, He leaves a wife and has two surviving children: Mrs.
Gormley, of Zanesville,  who has been at his bedside for the past two weeks, and
a son, Michael, Mr Hickey was a good citizen , an industrious man, genial and
kind to all. He was respected in life and will be mourned in death by a large
circle of friends" (Seneca Advertiser, page 8 col 3.).
