Charles Francis had an obituary 16 Apr 1908 Tiffin, Seneca Co., OH "Dr. Charles Francis Magers, one of Tiffin prominent young physicians, and a man who stood high in the respect of the community, died at the home at No. 29 East Perry Street Sunday afternoon at 5:55 o'clock. Dr. Magers had been failing in health for several months and during the past few days was confined to his bed. His death was to two brain trouble resulting from a general breakdown of the system caused by overwork. The deceased was born in Berwick October 12, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James V. Magers. Shortly after his birth his parents removed to New Riegel. Here they resided until Charles was about eight years of age when a removed to this city, where they have since resided. When a young man he took a preparatory course of studies at Heidelberg and was graduated from the Heidelberg Academy in 1890. Later he entered Starling Medical University at Columbus where he received his degree in medicine in 1896. After passing the Ohio State medical examinations he returned to this city and became a practitioner, opening an office on East Market Street and was successful from the first. Several years ago he erected a modern home on East Perry Street to which place he removed his office and where he has since resided. During the practice of his profession, Dr. Magers has established his reputation as a practitioner throughout the county and has built up a large and lucrative practice, and his untimely death is probably wholly due to his close and untiring application to his work, to which he devoted himself night and day. The deceased was a member of the American Medical Association, the Seneca County Medical Society, and also of the order of the Night of Columbus, and German Benevolent Association, in which he was medical examiner. He is survived by a widow, whose former name was Miss Emma Mathias and to whom he was married in 1898. Three sons, Lewis, Howard and Donald, the latter but 3 1/2 weeks old of age, also his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Ehrenfried, Miss Olive Magers, and one brother, Victor, a student in the Starling Medical College. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 2:00 from St. Joseph's Church and the order of which he was a member attended."(page one) "The funeral of the late Dr. Charles F.
