Charles Walter had an obituary 15 Apr 1914 Tiffin, Seneca Co., OH "RARE DISEASE CAUSES - DEATH OF CHARLES W. RIEMER AT HIS HOME ON CIRCULAR STREET, TODAY. - In At Charles W. Riemer, aged 30 years died at his home, on Circular Street, at 7:15 o'clock this morning. During the holidays, he had been ill with tonsillitis, but it was thought that he had almost fully recovered. However, last week, he suffered a relapse and Hodgkin's disease, an extremely rare disease, developed, ultimately resulting in his death. Mr. Reimer was born in this city, September 23, 1884, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Alphonse Riemer, and had been a resident of this city during his entire lifetime. For the past fourteen years he had been employed as a wood Carver at the plant of the Tiffin Manufacturing Co. Of late he has spent considerable of his time in going about the country setting up work for the company. He was popular among the large circle of friends and was a great lover of baseball, having played in the old city the anon many local teams. October 26, 1910, he was united in marriage to Miss Verna Telford, of this city, who together with his parents and the following sisters survive him: Mrs. A. J. Wagner, all Oklahoma city, Oklahoma; Mrs. Joseph Limbaugh, of Cincinnati, and the following, all of Tiffin, Mrs. John Schabacher, Mrs. Frank J. Russell, Mrs. William C. King, and Miss Anna Waltie Riemer. The deceased was a member of Tiffin Council No. 608, Knights of Columbus. The funeral arrangements will be announced later" (Daily Tribune, 4; col 2.). Charles Walter also had an obituary 16 Apr 1914 Tiffin, Seneca Co., OH "The funeral of Charles Riemer will be held at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church at 8:30 o'clock Friday morning. Interment will be made in the parish cemetery. The Knights of Columbus and employees of the Tiffin Manufacturing Co. will attend the funeral as a body" (Daily Tribune, 5; col 3.).
