Carey, son of William A. and Catharine Carey, was born in Shelby County, November 9, 1837. In 1872 he married Miss Margaret V. Glick (a daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Stockstill) Glick). They have born to them two children, Catherine E., born 1874, and Glick, born 1877.
