PICNIC AT CHRIST FOGT GROVE
There will be at picnic August 5th , at the Fogt Grove 1 mile south of Anna, on
the Western Ohio Traction Line. Refreshments & dinner served on the grounds. The
Anna Band will supply the music at the picnic. There will also be a ball game in
the afternoon at the Anna ballpark. The Lima Giants vs. Anna Futures. There will
also be a dance at night at the Anna ball, all are invaded to come. Friday July

Nineth FOGT Family Reunion The ninth annual reunion of the Fogt family was held
in the grove one mile south of Anna on the traction line.  There were about
three hundred people present. About one half of this number came in the forenoon
& had a very excellent basket dinner on temporary tables prepared for the
occasion.  A find new band & speakers had been erected under the ample trees
about one o'clock the crowd assembled in seats in front of this stand, where the
Enterprise Band of Anna, rendered several popular numbers.  Peter Fogt presided
& read the annual statistical report, which showed there had been five marriages
in the family in the past year & twenty-nine births, twelve boys
& seventeen girls.  There where five death's, they were, Louise Stuber, George
W. Fogt. Barbara Applegate, Hester Billing & Jacob Billing.  After the reading
of the treasure's report Judge Hugh T. Mathers was introduced & gave a brief
interesting speech. J. O. Ambos followed him with a short talk. James E. Way
also gave one of his lively speeches & the balance of the afternoon was spent in
social pleasure.
